About the author

DeAvian Wilson

DeAvian Wilson is a writer with a deep love for nature, animals, and the kind of storytelling that stays with young readers long after the last page. When he brought his collection of short poems to our expert book editors at Digital Scribblers, he had the heart of a children’s book already written. What he needed was a team to help him finish it properly.

The Challenge

Raw Poems That Needed Shape and Structure

DeAvian submitted a manuscript made up entirely of short poems, each between 4 and 8 sentences. The writing had heart and charm, but a collection of loose poems is not yet a children’s book. The manuscript needed structure, flow, and a clear reading experience that would work for both children and the adults reading alongside them.

Each poem also needed to be categorized properly and given context so readers could follow the journey from one section to the next. On top of that, a children’s book lives and dies by its cover. The design had to be bold, colorful, and immediately appealing to the age group, something that would stand out on a digital storefront and make a child want to pick it up.

Our solutions

From a Box of Poems to a Publish-Ready Children's Book

A loose collection of poems needed to become a real children’s book. Our editors, designers, and publishers at Digital Scribblers took that challenge on from day one and handled every stage of the process.

Book Editing

Our book editors reviewed and refined every poem in the manuscript, shaping the language and flow to suit a young audience without losing DeAvian's natural voice. We categorized each poem into its proper place within the book and wrote brief, engaging chapter summaries to give the collection a clear sense of progression

Cover Design

We started the cover design from scratch. After brainstorming a wide range of visual concepts, we landed on a vibrant, Disney-inspired 3D art style that matched the spirit of the book perfectly. The final cover is colorful, lively, and designed to catch the eye of children and parents browsing online.

Book Publishing

Our publishers handled the complete formatting and publishing setup from start to finish. Wild and Free: Tales of Untamed Spirits was successfully launched on Amazon as a Kindle edition, formatted to professional standards and ready to reach its audience from day one.

The Result

The Poems Found Their Home. The Book Found Its Readers.

Wild and Free: Tales of Untamed Spirits is now published on Amazon and available to families worldwide. What arrived as a loose collection of short poems is now a cohesive, professionally published children’s book

The project delivered:

Author’s Review

“I had a bunch of short poems and a rough idea of what I wanted the book to be. Digital Scribblers took that and turned it into something I am genuinely proud of. They organized everything, wrote summaries for each chapter, and made the whole thing feel like a real book with a proper flow. The cover design blew me away. I wanted something that would appeal to kids and they came back with a vibrant 3D style that looked like something out of a Disney movie. The whole process was smooth from start to finish and the final product speaks for itself.”
